The Economics Essence Workshop

It is Mr Eugene Toh's annual one-day essay masterclass. He handpicks 20 essay questions from this year's JC prelim papers across Singapore and dissects each one, teaching how to read the question, structure the answer, and write the Level 3 evaluations that score, with the full model answers provided.

16 October 2026 (Friday), 10am to 5pm with a lunch break from 1pm to 2pm, on Zoom. If you cannot attend live, the recorded video lessons open within 24 hours and stay available until your A Levels end.

The 2026 ticket is the live one-day workshop plus its recordings. The Past-Years Essence Bundle adds the recorded past workshops with their answers for far more essay exposure, and the Ultimate Essence Bundle combines the 2026 workshop with the full recorded archive. The Ultimate Essence Bundle is also the only option where you can request a printed copy of the 2026 booklet, posted about a week after the workshop; the other two are soft copy.

The questions are real school-set prelim questions from across Singapore, chosen for the themes most likely to matter at the A Levels. In recent years some have closely resembled what then appeared at the A Levels, in concept rather than exact wording. We credit the schools for the prelims. It is careful pattern reading, not prophecy, and SEAB sets the paper, not us.

Twenty prelim essay questions with full model answers. The questions and the answers come as a single PDF, issued on the day of the workshop, and you keep recorded video access until the A Levels end. The booklet is soft copy on the 2026 ticket and on the Past-Years Bundle. On the Ultimate Essence Bundle you can also request a printed copy, which is posted about a week after the workshop.

The Economics Essence Workshop is built around its materials: books written in-house, not sold anywhere, that only registered students hold, and once they are couriered they cannot be taken back. If you change your mind within 24 hours of paying and nothing has been sent or activated, we will refund you, less a $50 administration fee and the 3.9% card charge if you paid by card. Do check the dates and the mode of attendance before you register: a component that has already run comes to you as the recording and the materials, and that is not a ground for a refund. Before materials go out you can also transfer the registration to another student, or credit the fee toward another ETG programme.
